The great and famous Spatzen Open Air at Kastelruth is coming closer, the popular event will take place on 8th and 9th of June, there are expected numerous fans and guests.

The 85th national "Alpini" (Alpine troops) meeting takes place from 11st till 13rd May 2012 in Bolzano, the most important city in South Tyrol. Walther Place (Piazza Walther) will be the military parade arrival point. Young and old alpine troops soldiers (Alpini) from every Italian region will take place in the parade.
Unknown attackers threw some Molotov bottles against a building in Vandoies, Val Pusteria, hosting refugees from Nothern Africa. The attack took place on Thursday night; luckily no one was wounded, but the building was slightly damaged.
There are more or less 12.500 holidays homes in South Tyrol; the IMU tax will grow three times for them. The South Tyrolean local councils affirm that this financial measure helps to block the region "total selling off". Local councils would like to lower the IMU tax for everyone else, thanks to the money collected with this tax.
