Go for a dip during your summer holiday in South Tyrol

The very mild climate and the Mediterranean spirit of Bassa Atesina and Oltradige invite you to have a swim and refresh yourself in one of the numerous public open air pools or warm bathing lakes during your summer holiday in South Tyrol. Almost every village, from Salorno to Terlano, has a modern open air pool with waterslides and water games. The sports and adventure bath of Termeno, with its big swimming pool, the whirlpool and a sunbathing area built on different levels, as well as the lido of Egna with its Olympic pool and diving platform are very popular places for those longing to go for a dip. After a day of hiking in South Tyrol, you should relish the pleasures of diving on in before letting the powerful sun dry you up.

Wellness in South Tyrol at a bathing lake

Apart from the open air pools, the numerous lakes of Bassa Val d'Adige await you across the region during your summer holiday in South Tyrol. In the midst of Val d'Adige, there are three lakes that are situated in immediate vicinity to each other: Lake Caldaro, an insider's tip for surfers, and the two Lakes of Monticolo, located between the villages of Appiano and Caldaro. Have a swim in the clear waters and relish the pleasures of wellness in South Tyrol, before setting out for a walk along the shadowy strand and in the recreation area of Monticolo. Lake Caldaro is bigger and South Tyrol's warmest bathing lake and from May to October, it is a real meeting place for everybody who fancies bathing, surfing, sailing, and riding paddle boats. Once you get tired of having a swim, you can go for a break on the sunny footbridge or indulge in a delicious sundae in one of the bars and restaurants along the strand.
